Purity and the Pursuit of a Great Christian Love Story

The award-winning, family-friendly, Christian romantic drama PRINCESS CUT will have its World Premiere on July 28th, 2015 at 7:30 PM at The Grand 18 on 5601 University Parkway. Various cast and crew plan to be in attendance for this exclusive event to participate in a meet & greet and sign autographs. There will also be a post-screening Q&A, and giveaways of free movie-related merchandise.

In Princess Cut, Watchman Picture’s debut feature film, we enter the world of headstrong but helpless romantic Grace Anderson and her life in the rural Carolina town of East Bend. As the story unfolds, Grace must make difficult decisions about her romantic relationships, and begins to discover the power of true love. The movie hits select theaters nationwide beginning August 4th and is already generating glowing reviews from audiences.

“It’s a heartwarming, well filmed and acted story about the narrow path to finding your lifelong soul-mate” says Jerry McGlothlin, President of Moving Visions Entertainment, and writer & Executive Producer of the award-winning feature A Long Way Off. “But it also shows tempting yet counterfeit shortcuts along the way.”

Partnered with Tugg—an on-demand theatrical film distributor—PRINCESS CUT producer Paul Munger enlisted grassroots support to launch local screenings. Organizations or individuals have the option of hosting the film or buying tickets outright. Showtimes and Tickets are all available online only.  Go to PrincessCutMovie.com and click on “Get Tickets” to reserve your seats at one of the many screenings that have been requested nationwide.

PRINCESS CUT was shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera in and around Winston-Salem, East Bend, Lewisville, & Pelham, NC at Oakhaven Farm. Production was completed over 19 days in the Fall of 2013.

This heartwarming love story stars rising NC talent Ashley Bratcher (War Room, 90 Minutes in Heaven) Joseph Gray (Alone Yet Not Alone), and Rusty Martin Sr. & Jr. (Courageous).  It also features Mimi Sagadin (Return to the Hiding Place) and Jenn Gotzon (Alone Yet Not Alone, The Good Book, God’s Country). Lead actress Ashley Bratcher was recently nominated as Best Actress by the 7th Annual Pan Pacific Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Meanwhile, Christian movie fan favorite Rusty Martin Jr. has been named by The Christian Filmmaker Report as one of the 10 hottest actors under 30 in faith-based films.

So what’s the story about? Grace has dreamed all her life of the day when “Mr. Right” slips a Princess Cut diamond on her finger and swears to love her forever. Tonight may be that night as Stewart has something special planned after 15 months together! But when things don’t go as planned, and romance crashes down around her, it launches her on a quest, aided by her father, to understand what it means to truly love another person. Will Grace finally discover love or ruin her chances for happiness forever?

Co-writer Sheilah Munger muses: “As a woman, having experienced the selfish, unfulfilled love commonly presented as normal, I was longing for something, but I didn’t even realize that my decision to not marry was the direct result of an inward desire to be truly loved. The marriages I had witnessed and the relationship I ended spurred on a thought that it wasn’t even worth it and that I didn’t need it.”

Producer/Director Paul Munger hails from a family of home-schoolers and together with an army of filmmaking homeschoolers from around the country tackled what typically takes a Hollywood army to accomplish—write, produce and distribute a big-screen feature film. After making his first two films for the homeschool market—the award-winning Animals in the Bible and the practical Blueprint for Language Arts Success—Paul stepped out by faith to make the partially crowdfunded, fully crowd-pleasing PRINCESS CUT.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do to overcome some misguided views about the nature of love and the purpose of marriage,” says co-writer Paul Munger. “Thankfully, God’s given us guidance in His Word. We hope Princess Cut will leave audiences inspired and challenged to pursue a Biblical love in all their relationships.”

PRINCESS CUT was created by Co-Writer/Producer/Director Paul Munger and Co-Writer Sheilah Munger and is their debut feature under the Watchman Pictures banner. It was brought to life onscreen by Ashley Bratcher (War Room, 90 Minutes in Heaven) Joseph Gray (Alone Yet Not Alone), Rusty Martin Sr. & Jr. (Courageous), Mimi Sagadin (Return to the Hiding Place) and Jenn Gotzon (Alone Yet Not Alone, The Good Book, God’s Country).

PRINCESS CUT premieres worldwide July 28th and debuts in theaters nationwide August 4th, 2015.

As a parent of 2 daughters, this movie really spoke to me. Would love to see it be more of a study for young girls. Wish this was spoken to me.
